A vocational programme designed to provide knowledge and skill to defend against physical attack or assault and hold in place or remove non-compliant persons, using force when necessary to achieve this
The purpose of this programme is to equip the candidate with the knowledge and practical skills to effectively respond to a range of personal physical attack scenarios and safety and legally intervene to remove and/or restrain non-compliant or violent persons at or from the scene of an incident

Successful completion of this programme leads to:
- Security Institute of Ireland Certificate in Physical Intervention Skills
